Inspiration: our in store re-style

So, you may have seen or heard us mention that we are in the middle of a little bit of a renovation/re-style in the emporium. Latest updates from Kids Sewing School

The girls in the Kids Sewing School have been very busy, creating accessories, and more recently, embellished their own tank dress!

It was very important that the dresses were finished, as a few of the girls wore them the following day at Sophia's birthday party!

The first two shots are from our first Learn to Crochet workshop - we have just listed another one for Wednesday 20th June - available to book through our website www.freerangeliving.co

The last shot is one of our recent Ooshka Babooshka's created by one of our regular mums!

Kristen Doran Workshop - Fabric Coasters

Yesterday we enjoyed the company of textiles and contemporary hand crafts designer, Kristen Doran, who came to teach us how to make fabric coasters.

We were able to choose from some of her screen printed fabrics,including her crochet design and her winter nest. I chose the winter nest in a gorgeous new neon orange print - very contemporary !

It was lots of fun, great chatting together about family, tv shows, and all our other interests. It's so nice to work on projects in such warm, friendly company.

Kids Sewing School - Week Two

Week Two of our Kids Sewing School and we have welcomed a new member to the group - making it a full class! We have since had other enquiries for the Sewing School and look forward to welcoming a new class in Term 3. In the mean time, check out the latest creations - the girls were decorating their Sewing School Tote Bag, using appliqué and hand sewing techniques, as well as learning to create fabric ruffles on the sewing machine.
